BaldnessWhen analysing the possible causes of baldness (16 June, p 44), Rob Dunn barely mentions the most likely evolutionary explanation: that baldness, like adult-onset nearsightedness, is not adaptive, but happens too late to be weeded out by natural selection.
Also, if baldness were an adaptation meant to increase scalp exposure to sun, this would be testable. In men of African ancestry curly hair has been shown to act as effective protection (see Nina Jablonski's Skin: A Natural History or Luigi Cavalli-Sforza's Genes, Peoples, and Languages).
Historically, African men have also had more than enough sun exposure, so they should on average be less prone to baldness than those of northern-European ancestry.
Things Men Know That Women Should(From an Imgur thread)
The average guy is so starved for positive attention that a simple compliment is enough to get him interested in you.
When we mention we have a day off, that's not an invitation to fill the day with shit to do.
When we say we’re not mad we mean it.
Don't touch it unless you're willing to commit.
The silent treatment doesn't work, being ignored only bothers you and frankly we're glad of the peace and quiet.
